As for Turtle Town, it's in the grand lobby of The Embassy Suites San Diego Bay, San Diego, CA. (Located across the street from the Grand Hyatt). I have never seen a Turtle Town in any Embassy Suites I have stayed in. Quite amazing, especially now that the turtles (6 of them seen tonight) have a green light in their Turtle Cave in honor of the holiday season. They must have a 1/4 mile of water canal for the turtles to swim in as well! All decorated in festive holiday colors. I assume some of my fans have seen this sight and considered it to be a stop on the agenda for our annual convention of course.
Other area attractions in San Diego were delightfully colored in the Holiday Spirit. The "wrenches" were green and red, the ship was decorated with red, white and green lighting, and many other popular spots were decked out in the season's color. I had a late dinner outside on the deck, at The Fish Market, http://www.thefishmarket.com/locations.aspx?id=6, a popular spot in the Harbor . While there, I was fortunate enough to see the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights in it's final hour from 7:45pm to conclusion. Yo Ho HO was the theme for 2007. I might have to make this an annual event! http://www.sdparadeoflights.org/
And this picture, way in the background, are the "wrenches" in green and red for the holidays! My friend Carey called to offer some consulting on my pictures and picture placement. It's something I'll research more after the holiday. Thanks for the blogsulting, Carey! Of course, if I were Carey, I would have raced to the top of the Grand Hyatt for a much more fabulous view of the picture, used a real camera (instead of my cell phone), and zoomed in and photoshopped it or something - alas, I didn't :)

Dear Miss Yesterday,
Please be advised that we have extended your Platinum window at the Hotel Careyfornia to March 31, 2008. In order to maintain your current status, you MUST, I repeat MUST make a reservation and complete one visit, by midnight of March 31st. As a frequent traveler I know you appreciate the oasis of the Hotel Careyfornia, and we look forward to catering your every whim. With continued visits you will be that much closer to the coveted emerald status. I'm afraid we can't provide you a smelly box of turtles, but rest assured there will be a Sprinkles cupcake on your pillow at turndown.
Sincerely,
Carey Anthony
Proprietor and General Manager
Oh Thank you oh great Proprietor of the Hotel Careyfornia! Alas, I was so hoping I would be extended the extension. I do see the date for the extension doesn't match with my request, so likely there will be some sort of compromise for fabulous business guests such as myself in the event that the 3/31/08 deadline is not met on my part. I do depend on others such as sales staff and airlines to meet my goals for travel, as you know.
Graciously yours, until we need to talk about that date again, fabulously yours, Pam Yesterday
