Not a commonly remembered airport code, MDT. So where is it? Harrisburg, PA. How do you get there? Well, from Denver, I went US Scareways to Philadelphia, then Harrisburg, PA and stayed at the lovely Hilton Garden Inn. Harrisburg is the capital of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Hersheypark.
On March 28, 1979, the Three Mile Island nuclear plant, along the Susquehanna River located south of Harrisburg, suffered a partial meltdown.
Hershey was originally named Derry Church, Pennsylvania. It was renamed Hershey, Pennsylvania in 1906 after the growing popularity of Hershey's Chocolate. It is popularly called Chocolatetown, USA.
Luckily no big travel stories today, as I fondly remember San Diego and arrive in Harrisburg, the last business hotel of the year! (Please Marjorie, just say NO to 12/28, please :)))

I'll never forget the first time I ever stayed in Harrisburg. I got to my room (maybe the same hotel you're at, who knows...this was 15 years ago), opened the curtains, and there in front of me, was the top of reactor 1. Gotta love PA!
LOL
(Nice linkage!!!)
